10. Operation of the model helicopter

a) Charging the flight battery
A special LiPo charger is enclosed to the helicopter for recharging the flight battery.
When charging, always remove the battery from the model in order to prevent a shape distortion of the
plastic parts in case of a potential development of heat.
• Connect the enclosed power-pack unit (2) to the power
supply socket (1).
The 2-cell flight battery (3) is connected to the left
charger socket (4).
The two small handles of the pin and socket connector
(protected against wrong polarity) must point upwards
to ensure proper connection.
• You do not need the 2-pole cable with the BEC plug (5)
for the charge process. Later on, you connect the
accumulator to the model helicopter with this cable.
• As soon as you connect the power pack to a 230V mains
outlet, the red control LED (6) lights up and signals
sufficient power supply.
• The red charge LED (7) blinks or flickers during the
charge process.
Once the accumulator is fully charged, the charge
control LED colour changes to green and stays lit.
• Then remove the accumulator from the charger and pull
the power pack out of the mains outlet.
For photo-technical reasons, the charging cable of the plug-in mains unit is illustrated in the wound-up
state. Before the first use, the cable retainer should be opened and the cable be unwound.
On the right charge socket (8), you can also connect a 3-cell LiPo accumulator (e.g. a drive accumulator of another
model) and charge this.
