11.4 Maintenance Works

11.4.1 General notes on safety
DANGER
Risk to life
When carrying out repairs, remove the vehicle from the
danger zone of passing traffic and wear reflective cloth-
ing.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage!
Risk of injury due to engine overrun. Once the engine
has been switched off, wait for 5 seconds. Stay well
clear of the working area for this time.
Be careful when using high-pressure cleaners for
cleaning!
Articulated joint, tyres, radiator fins, hydraulic hoses
and valves, seals and electric and electronic compo-
nents must not be cleaned with the high-pressure
cleaner.
Risk of injury when vehicle accidentally starts up. Re-
move the ignition key and disconnect the battery prior
to performing cleaning and maintenance tasks on the
vehicle.
Maintenance on the hydraulic system must only be car-
ried out by trained personnel.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage!
Always apply and secure the safety support with the tilt-
ing device raised.
Danger
Risk of injury! While carrying out maintenance tasks, tilt the
waste container fully upward and lower the brush system/
attachment to remove the pressure from the hydraulic sys-
tem.
Risk of injury due to inadvertently lowering waste contain-
er. Prior to working underneath the waste container, move
the waste container all the way into the emptying position.
(for sweepers).
Risk of injury due to inadvertently lowering waste contain-
er. Only perform work on the turbine while the waste con-
tainer is completely lifted (for sweepers).
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Allow the vehicle to cool down sufficiently before per-
forming any maintenance and repair work.
Do not touch hot parts of the hydraulics, the hydrostatic
drive motor, the combustion engine and the exhaust
system.
ATTENTION
Do not allow fluids such as motor oil, hydraulic oil, brake
fluid, diesel or coolant to enter the soil. Please protect the
environment and dispose of fluids in an environmentally
responsible way.

11.4.2 Securing raised waste container
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage!
When the waste container is raised, e.g. to clean the
blower chamber, secure the waste container with safe-
ty bolts.
1 Storage for safety bolts with safety bracket (2x)
2 Secured position (1x right, 1x left)
3 Safety pin
4 Safety clip
When the waste container is raised, use safety bolts
and secure with the safety bracket (2x)
11.4.3 Securing the tilting device
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage!
Always apply and secure the safety support with the tilt-
ing device raised.
1 Piston rod
2 Safety clip
3 Safety support
4 Retainer for safety support
Raise the tilting device completely.
Open the safety bracket and remove safety support
from the retainer.
Position safety support above the piston rod and se-
cure it with safety bracket.
Note
The securing can be carried out on the left-hand or
right-hand piston rod.
