Safety Devices
Safety devices serve for the protection of the user and
must not be put out of operation or bypassed with respect
to their function.
7.2.2.1
Overflow valve
While reducing the water supply/quantity regulation at the
pump head, the overflow valve opens and part of the water
flows back to the pump suck side.
7.2.2.2
Safety valve
The safety valve opens when the permissible operating
pressure is exceeded; water flows back to the suction side
of the pump.
The overflow valve and safety valve are set and sealed at
the factory.
Setting only by customer service.

Safety instructions
7.2.4.1
Connection to a drinking water line
Observe regulations of water supplier.
WARNING
According to applicable regulations, the appliance must
never be used on the drinking water net without a system
separator. A suitable system separator by KÄRCHER or
alternatively a system separator according to EN 12729
type BA must be used.
Water that has flown through a system separator is no
longer classified as drinking water.
ATTENTION
Always connect the system separator to the water supply,
never directly to the appliance!

Operation
7.2.5.1
Before Startup
If not already done:
Connect the high-pressure hose and spray lance.
Connect the water supply hose and open the stop cock
of the water inlet.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to high-pressure water jet.
Only nozzles of the sizes listed in the specification may be
used.
WARNING
Clean engines only at places with corresponding oil sepa-
rators (environmental safety).
The jet must not be directed at other persons or directed
by the user at him/herself to clean clothing or footwear.
7.2.5.2
Operation
WARNING
The high-pressure cleaner may be operated only at an en-
gine speed of 1600 rpm and only in work mode.
Fill the water reservoir of the MC 130 or check the water
fill level.
Open the stop cock of the water inlet.
Put travel direction lever in the NEUTRAL position -
centre position and start the motor.
Remove the trigger gun and high-pressure hose from
storage.
Switch on the work hydraulics PTO.
Switch on the switch for the high-pressure cleaner on
the right of the driver's seat.
