Description of unit

3.2.1 Display and control unit

1. Digital screen
If no measurement is performed or no key pressed for about
5 minutes, the screen is turned off automatically. Pressing any
key turns the screen back on.
2. Keys with fixed functions (hardkeys)
3. Mains switch ON/OFF (not on MOT 240)
4. Pilot lamp for power supply
5. Brightness or contrast control
6. Multi-function keys (softkeys) F1 to F6

(for details, see Sections 3.2.3 and 3.4)

3.2.3 Program module PPG 240/250
Three different program modules are available as special
accessories, see section 8 for further details. The entire operating
and system software for the Engine Tester is contained in each
separate program module.
The module is plugged into the bottom of the Motortester or the
measuring unit.

Please note the following when installing or removing the program
module:
- Turn off the Motortester; in the case of MOT 240, disconnect
from vehicle battery and line adapter.
- Do not touch plug pins of the program module.
Removal (see illustration)
Gently push the two retaining tabs away while simultaneously
prying the program module out with a small screwdriver.o
Installation
Insert the program module into the guide and push it in until it
clicks in place.
