Multi-oscilloscope

The selection of the multi-oscilloscope is carried out from the
„engine test, multi-test and injection test" or from the basic menu.
The representation of the picture can vary slightly accordingly.
Remarks:
All measurements refer to terminal B- (vehicle ground) and not to
the black multi-clip.
F1/2: Selection between the input signals:
- red multi-clip (voltage measurement/DC coupling),
- current clamp-on pickup (current measurement/DC
coupling)
- red clamp B+ (voltage measurement/AC coupling)
F3:
Calling sub-program: „picture adjustment" for modifying
the X deflection (time axis), the Y amplification and the
picture position (picture displacement upwards or down-
wards). See section 5.4.1.
F4:
Calling sub-program: adjustment of the pre-trigger to
displace the picture or the picture head o the X axis. See
section 5.4.2.
F5:
Calling sub-program: trigger menu to adjust the trigger
source, the trigger edge and the trigger level. See sections
5.3.1 and 5.3.2.
F6:
Change-over of the signal coupling between AC and DC
coupling.
AC coupling (alternative voltage coupling): all direct voltage
parts are not taken into consideration. An alternative
signal is represented as a zero line.
DC coupling (direct voltage coupling): direct voltage parts
are represented with the other ones. An eventual alterna-
tive signal is overlaid in the direct voltage part.
5.3.1 Trigger adjustment: Synchrosignal
F1:
Change-over of the trigger source between synchronizing
signal with reference to the input signal and synchronized
with the engine with reference to the ignition impulses.
F2:
Adjustment of the trigger mode (framing control) between:
Automatic: automatic framing control (zero line or picture
always present).
Manual: a picture is only represented if a valid trigger
input-signal exists (if not, there is no oscilloscope picture
= „standby" operating mode).
F3:
Change-over of the trigger edge between the positive and
the negative signal edge.
F4:
Adjustment or change-over of the trigger level:
automatic on the signal middle
manual adjustable in 5 % steps
Only by selecting the manual trigger level
F5/6: Adjustment of the trigger level in 5 % steps from the
screen format upwards or downwards. See also the
trigger mark on the screen.
