Only TIM-PN modules from HBM can be operated on the 10+2 interface. The operation of
other modules and modules from other manufacturers is not allowed and could destroy
the TIM-PN.
Electrical connection
The electrical connection proceeds as described in section 7 "Electrical connection", start
ing on page 11. Please note that in intercommunication mode, the X2, TMC X4 supply and
the X3 speed sensor can only be connected to the head-end (Super-Master module).
Only one feeding point (head-end/super-master) is necessary in this case (see
Fig. 10.19). Ensure that the power supply is sufficiently capable.
Module configuration
Modules can only be configured once the passcode has been entered. Each module is
configured independently via the Ethernet X5 interface. So each module is given a separ
ate IP address. In the delivery condition/individual operation, all modules are parameter
ized as "masters". To use Intercommunication mode, the modules must be programmed
as "super-master" or "slave", as described in Fig. 10.20.
