12.6 Changing the engine oil (Fig. 22, 23)
The oil change should be carried out annually at op-
erating temperature before the start of the season.
Use only 4-stroke engine oil (10W 30 / SAE 30).
1.
Place a collection bucket* under the oil drain
screw (9a).
2.
Remove the oil drain screw (9a) and the oil dipstick (9).
3.
Tilt the product forward slightly and allow all the
oil to drain out.
4.
Refit the oil drain screw (9a).
5.
Fill a maximum of 0.6 litres of fresh oil into the oil
filling opening, using a funnel*.
6.
Screw the oil dipstick (9) back in and let the product
run for a short time.
7.
Then check the oil level again as described in 12.5.

13. Storage
Preparation for storing the product Warning: Do
not remove the petrol in enclosed spaces, near
fire or when smoking. Petrol fumes can cause ex-
plosions and fire.
1.
Empty the fuel tank with a petrol extraction pump.
2.
Start the engine and let it run until any remaining
petrol has been used up.
m WARNING: Never store the product with pet-
rol in the tank inside a building in which fuel
vapours may come into contact with naked
flames or sparks!
3.
Change the oil at the end of every season. To do
so, remove the used engine oil from a warm en-
gine and refill with fresh oil.
4.
Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head. Fill
the cylinder with approx. 20 ml of oil from an oil can.
Slowly pull back the starter handle, which will bathe
the cylinder wall with oil. Attach the spark plug again.

5.
Clean the cooling fins of the cylinder and the housing.
6.
Be sure to clean the entire product to protect the
paint.
7.
Store the product in a well-ventilated place or area.
Preparing the product for transport
1.
Empty the fuel tank with a petrol extraction pump.
2.
Keep the motor running until the remaining petrol
has been used up.
3.
Drain the motor oil of the warm motor.
4.
Remove the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
5.
Clean the cooling fins of the cylinder and the hous-
ing.
6.
Dismantle the push bars if necessary. Ensure that
the cable pulls are not kinked.

• Before disposing of the device, the fuel tank and the
motor oil tank must be emptied!
• Fuel and engine oil do not belong in household
waste or drains, but must be collected or disposed
of separately!
