11. Cleaning information: (Fig. 11)
Cleaning must be performed by an adult!
If BABY born Doll becomes dirty, the outside of the doll can be cleaned using a damp cloth. It is
easier to clean the doll using warm soapy water.
After the doll has been bathed or fed, the tube system inside BABY born Doll must be cleaned
immediately. If you do not clean the doll, residues of bathwater, chlorinated water, salt water or
food can clog the tubes and tanks within.
Water should also be removed from the inside of the doll. To do so, proceed as described in no. 7 "I
dry faster" and observe the drying information in no. 12.
If the doll is used over an extended period of time without cleaning, there is a danger of mould
forming.
To clean BABY born Doll correctly, fill the bottle with warm water and mild washing-up liquid. Point
the bottle down and insert half-way into the doll's mouth (if the bottle is pushed to the back of
the doll's mouth, the rinse water will enter the wrong tank). When the bottle is empty, shake BABY
born Doll hard to loosen any residue inside. Then sit BABY born Doll on her/his potty and press the
tummy button long enough to make sure that the entire content can flow out of the doll.
Repeat this procedure several times and rinse with fresh, clean water at least twice.
Continue until the rinse water that exits the doll is completely clear. After cleaning, place BABY
born Doll on the potty for around 15 minutes in order to ensure that all water has run out.
Important:
To prevent the formation of mould and mould stains, the doll should be cleaned with diluted
vinegar after cleaning with washing-up liquid. To do this, add a splash of commercially available
vinegar to warm water. Repeat the cleaning procedure described above with this diluted vinegar.
Finally, repeat the cleaning process with fresh water at least twice.
12. Drying information: (Fig. 12)
To dry BABY born Doll, lay the doll on its back and position the arms vertically upright (Fig. 12).
Then squeeze the arms multiple times in order to drain any water out of the arms. Repeat several
times if necessary.
Now stand the doll upright. If there is any water in the body, it will flow out of the two holes
provided at the bottom of the body. If there is water in the legs, it will flow out of the two holes in
the soles of the feet.
You can check whether there is still water in the doll's arms, legs or body by shaking it briefly.
Repeat the process described above several times in order to empty the doll completely.
Removing the doll's left leg speeds up the drying process. To do so, proceed as described in no. 7 "I
dry faster".
To dry the outside of BABY born Doll, dry the doll and especially all the joints carefully using a
towel.
Finally, leave BABY born Doll to air in a warm, well-ventilated place for an extended period of time
without any clothing.
Please note that water droplets may still leak from the doll's joints, feet or the two holes on the
doll's body. Therefore, please put a nappy on the doll and remove any leaks with a dry cloth.
