Step 11
Climbing half standing down in the
hatch, give the railing bars and diago-
nal brace up.
Secure the vertical frames by moun-
ting the railing brace between the 1st
rung on the one side and the 4th rung
on the other side.
Mount the railing bars at the front and
at the back at the level of the 1st and
3rd rungs.
Secure all braces and bars with safety
sets.
Climb only then on the platform.
Step 12
Take the longitudinal and cross board
which are handed up to you.
First mount the short cross board,
ensuring that the notches face
upwards.
Then mount the longitudinal boards
as shown the picture to the right.
This picture shows the completely

fold, first and second extension
elements and 20 ballast weights.
NOTE:
Free-standing scaffolds must be secured against tilting with ballasts, outriggers and
stabilizing sets. For details regarding the number of required ballasts and outriggers,
refer to the table on page 67.
