Maintenance and care
Prior to erecting the scaffold, check all parts for damage. Replace defective or
damaged parts. Use only original spare parts.
Carry out a visual inspection, checking in particular for cracks in welds and other
parts of the material. Use only scaffold parts that are not bent or otherwise
deformed. Always ensure that component parts such as clamps, spindles, castors,
etc. are in proper working condition.
The following parts have to be checked before each assembly:
- Vertical frames, stabilizer with regard to:
Deformation, crushing and crack formation
- Diagonal braces and rail braces with regard to:
Deformation, crushing, crack formation and function of the safety unit
- Platforms with regard to:
Deformation, crushing, crack formation and function of the safety unit
Condition of the wood
Function of the hatch/door
- Boards with regard to:
Condition of the wood, cracking
- Castors with regard to:
Roll ability of the castor and the function of the brake regarding roll and rotation
stoppage
In case of adjustable castors regarding the easy movement of the jack screw
Inspection of the safety of the vertical frame resp. stabilizer (drop pin, wing screw)
- Safety sets
Deformation, crushing, crack formation and the correct position
Prevent damage by refraining from throwing the parts.
The scaffold parts must be stored horizontal in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
The individual parts must be stored in such a way that they are protected against
the elements.
For transport, place and secure the parts in such a way that they cannot be damaged
by shifting, bumping, falling down etc.
The scaffold parts can be cleaned with a conventional detergent. To remove paint,
use turpentine.
CAUTION
Ensure that detergents and solvents do not pollute the ground. Dispose of them
according to the applicable environmental protection regulations.
