The ballast table shows the number of ballasts or outriggers that are required for the
stabilisation of free-standing scaffolds with extended stabilizer, depending on the height of
the scaffold and the mounted elements. If the stabilizer is not extended, the base scaffold
must be secured with 4 ballasts. For a scaffold consisting of the base scaffold and
1
extension element, you must attach 20 ballasts. Scaffolds consisting of the base scaffold
st
and the 1
and 2
extension elements may not be assembly with retracted stabilizer.

4.5 Ballast load
Free-standing scaffolds must be secured
against tilting with ballasts or outriggers.
Wall brackets can be used in addition to the
above, but not as a substitute for ballasts or
outriggers. For details regarding the number
of required ballasts and outriggers, refer to the
table below.
4.6 Assembly option with
outriggers
The optional available outriggers
can be used for the additional safe
support of the scaffold.
The assembly of the outriggers must
be executed with adequate care. The
outriggers must be fixed sturdily with
the scaffold. The fixing points of the
outriggers at the scaffold are also
used as anti-twist safeguard.
The feets of the outriggers must
be placed firmly on the ground. If
necessary, use sturdy and altitude
equalizing base inserts.
The execution of the outriggers can
differ to the here shown version.

4.7 Wall bracket
Scaffolds used on walls can be leaned against the wall by using of stabilizing
sets. The stabilizing sets prevent the scaffolding from tilting against the wall.
In case of using the stabilizing sets it is essential to take care that the stabilizing
sets are always mounted below the top platform.
If required, the scaffold can additionally be attached with the stabilizing set to the
wall. While attachment to the wall provides additional stability, it cannot
substitute ballasts or outriggers, which must be attached according to the table
on page 67. To fix the scaffold to the wall, use eyelet bolts with a diameter of
12 mm. Use wall plugs that are suitable for the respective wall construction.
