2. Use of product
2.1 Intended use
The mobile aluminium working scaffold is a mobile scaffold (mobile working platform).
It is classified in scaffold group 3 (capacity of 200 kg per m
area). The maximum permissible load is thus 180 kg with uniformly distributed load.
All work must be carried out by standing on the platform. The scaffold may only be
climbed on the inside.
The maximum extended height is 5 m in closed rooms and outdoors.
The scaffold may only be installed on level ground with the necessary load strength.
Using a spirit level, check the scaffold for proper vertical and horizontal alignment.
The maximum permissible angle of inclination is 1%. Scaffolds that are not equipped
with a height adjustment mechanism must be aligned by means of unbreakable and
non-slip chocks.
Before using the scaffold, ensure that all necessary safety measures have been taken
and that the scaffold has been properly erected according to the instructions in the
installation and user manual. If necessary, protect the scaffold from tilting by using
ballasts or outriggers.
2.2 Not intended use
The working scaffold may only be used for the purpose specified in 2.1 (intended
use). Not intended use includes: A deviation of this use is classified as not intended
use within the meaning of ProdSG (of 08.11.2011). This is also valid in case of the
defiance of the norms and regulations indicated in this Instructions of Assembly and
Use. Not intended use is among others:
- Installation of bridges between the mobile scaffold and a building or another
construction.
- Connection of several mobile scaffolds to form a single platform or scaffold.
- Use of the scaffold as a climbing aid (ladder) to access other scaffolds.
- Attachment and use of lifting gear attached to the scaffold.

3. Safety instructions
3.1 Applicable regulations
The regulations of EN 1004 apply to the erection, dismantling, stability and use of the
working scaffold.
3.2 Safety regulations for erection and use
- The scaffold may only be erected and taken down by personnel who are fully
familiar with the content of this installation and user manual.
- At the minimum 2 persons will be required for the assembly and the dismantling.
- The scaffold may be erected and used exclusively on a level and sufficiently stabile
ground able to carry its weight.
- Only the use of faultless original parts of the scaffold system is allowed.
- The wheels must be arrested prior use of the scaffold by pressing down of the
brake handle and all components of the scaffold must be checked regarding the
correct assembly and the functioning.
- All work must be carried out by standing on a platform.
- Jumping on the accessible platform areas is prohibited.
- Do not lean over the railings or use them to push off against.
- Use of the scaffold is permitted up to a maximum wind force 6 (~ 45 km/h). Prior
exceeding the wind force 6, the scaffold must be dismantled or be used in a wind
protected area and to be secured there against tilt. Wind in excess of force 6 can
be recognized by noticeably restrained walking against the wind.
- A threepart complete flank protection consisting of a rail strut, knee strut and
rotating boards must be used for platforms on which a person is working. For all
intermediate platforms which will be used for assembly, dismantling and rebuilding
and climbing, no rotating boards are necessary.
- After completion of the work, the mobile scaffold must be properly anchored and
secured against unauthorised use. Alternatively, dismantle the scaffold.
– Intermediate boards must be equipped with a side protection that does not consist
of boards; working platforms must be secured with side protection with board.
- If the mobile scaffold is used outside of buildings, secure it to a fixed structure, if
this is possible.
- Stabilizers and ballast weights must be applied in accordance with these
Instructions for Assembly and Use.
- Tooling and materials may be transported upwards only bearing in mind their
weight to avoid overload of the working platforms. The use of lifting gears is
prohibited.
