If the appliance is not to be used for a long period of time, the following steps should be
taken:
- grind all the coffee beans until the product is complete;
- switch off the appliance and disconnect the power supply;
- remove the hopper;
- clean the appliance as recommended under "Cleaning and maintenance" and put it in a
place that is not dusty and damp.
This product complies with EU Directive 2002/96/EC.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the appliance
indicates that the product, at the end of its useful life, must be
treated separately from household waste and must be handed
in at a separate collection point for electrical and electronic
equipment or returned to the retailer when a new equivalent
appliance is purchased.
The user is responsible for taking the end-of-life equipment to the appropriate
collection facilities, under penalty of sanctions under current waste legislation.
Appropriate separate collection for subsequent sending of the discharged
appliance for recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps
to avoid possible negative effects on the environment and health and promotes
the recycling of materials from which the product is made.

your local waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
Products and importers fulfil their responsibility for environmentally sound
recycling, treatment and disposal either directly or by participating in a collective
system.
The packaging components should NOT be dispersed in the environment but
must be disposed of in accordance with current regulations.
When you decide to stop using the appliance, it is recommended that you
make it unusable by cutting the cable at the point where it exits and handing it
over to specialised facilities for disposal.
