Ventilation
The first maintenance of the ventilation system should be performed 8–12
weeks after commissioning of the central inverter. According to experience,
the air filters of the operating area become very dirty in the first few weeks.
The maintenance interval is dependent on the location (cleanness of the
air) of the central inverter. If you eliminate dirt at an early stage, you will
avoid a reduction in the flow rate or impermissible counter-pressures. Carry
out regular maintenance on the air filters as well as the supply and exhaust
air passageways and any openings in the operating area.
7.3

First maintenance: Ventilation

Prerequisites
Auxiliary power supply is switched off

All external disconnectors are open and secured against being switched

back on
 Internal circuit breakers are open
 After de-energising the device, wait an additional 15 minutes
 Check that the device is de-energised using a suitable measuring device, in
accordance with applicable guidelines
All measuring devices and cables used must be approved for at least

protection class CAT II 1000 V or CAT III 600 V (in accordance with IEC EN
61010-1).

Checking the operating area

Procedure
1. Check the available operating manual
2. Ensure air circulation.
Please note the following here:
The top of the device must remain unobstructed, to allow exhaust air to

escape.
 The central inverter must not draw in any dirt.
 Clean dust and sand from the floor
 Clean the grilles over the device fans
Clean or replace the air filter in the operating area

3. Check the supply air to the operating area
Please note the following here:
 For filtering the supply air: Only use class G3 or G4 air filters (EN 779)
 Supply air must be free of: Combustible, explosive, aggressive, caustic
or corrosive gases, vapours or dusts
Maximum relative humidity: 95% (non-condensing)

Supply and exhaust air must be separated structurally to prevent a

short circuit between the two flows
4. Check the flow rate for each device

Required flow rate: 4000 m³/h

