Only one DC main cable

If you only wish to connect one main DC cable, for example because you
have installed an external switch box between the solar generator and
the central inverter:
Fit DC busbars (optionally included in the scope of delivery)

4. Connect cables at connection bar DC- and DC+.
5. Label the cables
Risk of injury due to damaged cable strain relief
Connection cables that are not strain-relieved may become damaged or
severed. This can result in serious personal injury or material damage.
Fit cable strain relief on-site

Use cable strain relief (cable support rail) to adequately secure

connection cables that enter the device
Only use aluminium or plastic cable clips for the cable strain relief. Check

all cable leads before connecting the cabling
6. Secure the cables on the cable support rails
7. Fit the protective cover and screw into place

The solar generator is connected.

Connecting to the grid

Materials required
AC cable available in accordance with regulations (AC side, p. 43)(two AC

cables can be connected per phase.)
M12 cable lug

Please note the following here:
– Cable lugs must be of the correct size for the cable cross-sections used.
– Cable lugs must be insulated on the shaft using an insulating sleeve or
shrink tubing.
– Cable lug manufacturer's specifications
 Permissible tools for crimping cable lugs.

Prerequisites
Safety equipment installed (Required on site, p. 19)

 Ensure that the AC cables are fully de-energised
IT grid available (IT grid, p. 44)(Central inverters are designed for grid

connection to a medium-voltage transformer and may only be operated in
IT (Isolé Terre) grids.)
 Insulation and earth fault monitoring of the IT grid available. In the event
of an earth fault, the monitoring system must switch the device off.
Option 1: Use a medium-voltage transformer

Or option 2: Use a shared medium-voltage transformer with galvanically

isolated low-voltage coils.
