Risk of fatal injury due to residual voltages
When the central inverter is shut down using the On/Off switch, voltage is
still present at the AC and DC connections and in the internal control
system. After shutting down the system using the On/Off switch, the
capacitors of the central inverter can still carry a residual charge. Residual
voltages inside the device can result in fatal surges.
 Open all external disconnectors and secure them against being switched
back on.
After de-energising the device, always wait for an additional 15 minutes

before touching any components.
 Check that the device is de-energised using a measuring instrument, in
accordance with applicable guidelines. The measuring instrument used
must be approved for at least protection class CAT II 1000 V or CAT III
600 V (in accordance with IEC EN 61010-1).
Risk of fatal injury due to moisture
Moisture and water can lead to life-threatening situations and cause
serious faults in the operating area.
 Seal cable grommets to the operating area correctly
 Keep the operating area dry
Risk of fatal injury due to foreign objects
Arcing can occur in the operating area, potentially causing foreign objects
(aggressive, chemical or combustible materials) to catch fire.
 Check the fire load of materials in the operating area
 Keep the operating area free of explosive materials and aggressive or
corrosive gases
Before commissioning, clean the operating area, including the raised

floor and the air passageways, completely and remove any foreign
objects.
Risk of fatal injury due to earthed solar generator
In typical applications, which many engineers would expect to encounter,
the solar generator is structured like an insulated grid and is not earthed.
An earthed solar generator, by contrast, behaves like a TN grid. This can
cause engineers to reach decisions under false assumptions when
detecting residual currents (earth faults), which in turn can have
potentially life-threatening consequences.
 Clearly mark earthed solar generators
 Only implement the earthing using clearly labelled switching and safety
devices
Risk of injury due to high temperatures
The components of the device may reach temperatures of up to 150 °C,
which can cause serious burns.
 After switching off the device, wait for an appropriate period before
touching any components
