Safety
 Before commissioning and closing the disconnectors:
Fully note and comply with:
– The information
– The handling instructions
– The safety instructions for assembly and installation
 Do not remove or disable the safety equipment
Pay attention to the safety devices and the warnings on the device itself

Before attempting to reach inside electrical components: Open all external

and internal disconnectors
Trade fairs
 Before starting any electrical work: Check that the device is de-energised
using a suitable measuring device (in the DC and AC setting in accordance
with applicable directives). Please note the following here:
– The power source of the photovoltaic system is always active during
daylight.
Only take measurements using suitable measuring equipment (which

conforms to the applicable standards and directives). Before taking any
measurements, read the measuring equipment's operating manual
Check
Check that all protective covers are fitted. The protective covers serve the

dual purpose of ensuring safety and ventilation. They guide the air into and
distribute it around the device.
Never open the device during operation

Secure the device by means of a built-in lock and only open it using the key

supplied
 Check whether the external low-voltage distribution board is capable of
switching off the combined currents of all the central inverters that have
been connected
 Secure inserted connection cables adequately with cable strain relief
(fasten to a cable support rail). Connection cables that are not strain-
relieved may be damaged or completely pulled out, causing personal injury
or material damage.
Before commissioning the device: Set the DC circuit breaker according to

the permitted DC current
 First switch off the device, then switch off the medium-voltage
transformer

Responsibilities of the crane driver

The crane operator is responsible for complying with the following points:
Inspect
Before lifting the load: Check that the device's transport rails are

undamaged and securely positioned
 Only lift the central inverter with the transport rails provided for this
purpose
Stop crane operation in the following cases:

– Case 1: The load cannot be securely held and safely removed due to the
influence of the wind.
– Case 2: Faults that pose a risk to operational safety occur.
Check
 Test all emergency limit switches and brakes before operating the crane
 Only use crane hooks with hook locks and check these regularly
