Basic safety instructions

Risk of fatal injury due to disregarding safety instructions
If the safety instructions and/or the sequence of steps for installation are
not followed, the device may be permanently damaged and accidents with
serious health consequences may occur.
 Observe the safety instructions

Risk of fatal injury due to lack of assistance
In the event of an accident, a second person can switch off the power
supply and provide assistance.
 Work should only be carried out when a second person who has been
trained to provide suitable assistance is present.
Risk of fatal injury due to high voltages
In photovoltaic systems, voltages of U
I = 800 A can occur. Attempting to work on the product and live
DC
components at these high voltages and current strengths can prove fatal.
When performing work of this nature, please note that the photovoltaic
system's solar generator is always active during daylight hours.
Before starting any work on electrical systems:
De-energise the system

Ensure that it is secured against being switched back on

Verify that the system is fully de-energised

Earth and short-circuit the system

Cover or shield any adjacent live components

Risk of fatal injury from magnetic and electromagnetic fields
Due to physical circumstances, you should expect to encounter magnetic
and electromagnetic fields in the environment surrounding the central
inverters. These fields may represent a serious danger to anyone wearing a
pacemaker, anyone with metallic implants or anyone using a hearing aid.
Persons wearing a pacemaker, with metallic implants or who use a

hearing aid are forbidden from entering the operating area.

ventilation system.
Risk of fatal injury from arcing and short-circuit currents
Very high DC voltages (no zero point) may exist in photovoltaic systems
employing the product, which could cause arcing in the event of faults or if
components such as fuses or plugs are not used in the specified manner.
The short-circuit current of the solar generator is only slightly higher than
the maximum operating current and is always dependant on current
irradiation levels. This means that, where short circuits occur, there is no
guarantee that circuit breakers will be tripped.
