 Do not make any unauthorised changes to the device

Observe the conditions for use (Installation location, p. 35)

Only have modifications and servicing on the device carried out by

employees of the manufacturer or by personnel authorised by the
manufacturer
Maintenance
Carry out maintenance work regularly

Check that the manual and, in particular, safety instructions are read and

understood by personnel commissioned with performing tasks
 Set the grid characteristics correctly, in accordance with location-specific
requirements. (Display: Setting the grid standard and parameters, p. 68)
Discuss changes to the grid characteristics with the energy supply

company in question. Unauthorised changes to the settings may lead to
malfunctions, losses in yield or to the loss of feed-in approval.
Directives
Carry out all calculations for the photovoltaic system required by the

BDEW (German Federal Association for the Energy and Water Industries)
Generation systems on medium-voltage grids directive. Before installing the
photovoltaic system: Agree the scope and level of detail for the grid
connection point with the relevant grid operator or energy supply
company
Only operate the device in Isolé Terre (IT) grids. Please note the following

here:
– IT grids are unearthed.
– In the event of an earth fault, the IT grid is earthed.
– The reliability of the IT grid must be monitored with insulation
monitoring and earth fault monitoring.
– The monitoring device selected (e.g. for insulation monitoring/earth
fault monitoring) must be suitable for use with transformerless central
inverters.

Electrician

2.2.1

Qualification

An electrician is a person who, as a result of technical training and
experience, possesses the required knowledge of the following:
Setting up, activating, deactivating, disconnecting, earthing, short-

circuiting and repairing electrical circuits and devices.
The standard maintenance and use of protective devices in accordance

with defined safety standards.
Administering first-aid to injured parties.

Compliance with the local regulations, applicable standards and

directives.
 Working with direct current, while noting:
– The photovoltaic (PV) system is always active during daylight.
2.2.2

Responsibilities

The electrician is responsible for complying with the following points:
