Accessories
The four-way chest strap makes it possible to restrain the
patient in the power wheelchair. The lower strap should be
placed between the pelvic bone and thigh, and should not
be too tight. The belt buckle is positioned at the front of the
body, in the centre. The shoulder straps should be posi-
tioned evenly on both sides on the thorax, and should not be
too tight.
To close the four-way chest strap, connect all parts of the
belt buckle. The belt buckle must snap in place audibly.
Verify that the belt has locked by trying to pulling it apart.
The four-way chest strap should not be too tight on the body.
Objects caught under the belt can cause painful pressure
sores.
To increase the length of the belt, turn the buckle by 90° and
pull. To reduce the length of the belt, pull the overhanging
belt end.
7.9.3 Adapter for Headrest Mounting Kit (Standard
Seat)
The power wheelchair can be equipped with an optional
headrest. An adapter for attachment of the headrest mount-
ing kit is available for this purpose.

7.9.4 Attendant Control

A separate control panel can be attached to the back rest
of the power wheelchair for use by an attendant.
