14.6 External mileage counter

The external mileage counter offers a speedometer, a trip mileage counter, a total mileage counter and a clock.
Whenever the display shows m/h in the upper left corner, the speedometer is activated. With the yellow key,
users can switch back and forth between trip mileage counter, total mileage counter and clock display. Three
flashing arrows on the left side of the display indicate that the trip mileage counter is displayed. Pressing the
yellow key for longer than two seconds will set the trip mileage back to zero. Pressing the yellow key shortly will
switch to the total mileage counter. Pressing the key again will display the clock. To set the time, hold the key
pressed and let go once the display begins to alternatingly show 12: and 24:. Pressing the key again when the
display shows 24: will program the clock to show a 24-hour display. Pressing the key when the display shows
12: will result in a 12-hour display. The display then shows the time digits which advance automatically one after
the other. To set the time, the user then presses the key when the desired digits are shown on the display.
Users can also switch from a mileage to kilometer display by pressing the yellow key for more than 2 seconds
while in the total mileage counter mode. When switching from miles to kilometers, the wheel circumference must
be accordingly entered in metric measurements. The conversion from inches to centimeters, and the calculation
of circumference on the basis of diameter, is done as follows:
For a wheel with a diameter of 14 inches:

The external mileage counter is attached to the protection bar of the control panel.
14.7 Recaro® seat
The B 500/B 500-S power wheelchair can be equipped with different Recaro seat models. The back angles
are adjusted by turning the rotary knob at the right or left side of the backrest. The backrest can be completely
folded down by pulling up the release handle located at the side of the backrest.
The Recaro® seat can be easily removed from the chassis. To remove the Recaro® seat:
- Pull the release strap beneath the front part of the seat.
- Loosen the two locking bolts which lock the seat to the right and left seat frame.
- To release the posterior seat receiver from the retainer bushings, tilt the seat slightly to the rear and push it
back slightly.
- Remove the Recaro® seat.
- The wheelchair is now freely accessible to carry out maintenance work.
- For remounting, place the posterior edge of the Recaro® seat on the end of the seat frame.
- Slide the seat forwards until the posterior seat receiver hangs in the retainer bushings.
- Tilt the seat forward until the locking bolts click into the seat frame.
