Batteries

INFORMATION
When checking the power wheelchair's batteries, make
sure it is standing on a level surface.
INFORMATION
Before doing any maintenance work on the batteries,
please read the battery manufacturer's warnings thor-
oughly!
INFORMATION
The fluid level in the batteries has to be checked monthly.
Top up the batteries with distilled water when required.
The standard version of the B600 power wheelchair includes
two low-maintenance 12 V wet cell batteries.
The batteries are located under the seat of the power wheel-
chair.
For maintenance work and for mounting/removing the bat-
teries, the B600 power wheelchair has a battery drawer
(Figure 23).

To check the batteries, proceed as follows:
1. Push the release bolt of the battery drawer up. The re-
lease bolt is located in a recess in the rear covering
(see Figure 24).
2. Pull out the battery drawer towards the rear.
3. Undo the snap buckle on the support strap for the bat-
tery drawer (see Figure 25) and remove the cover.
Once the cover has been removed, you have unrestrict-
ed access to the batteries (see Figure 26).
