Manual wheel data recording

If the rim distance and rim diameter cannot be
electronically measured, the wheel data can also be
entered manually.

To enter the rim data manually, the electronic rim-
distance gauge and sonar must be deactivated (see
chapter "Settings").

Following deactivation of the electronic rim-distance
gauge, take the following steps to enter the rim
distance and rim diameter.
9.6.1 Standard, ALU1 (PAX1), ALU4, ALU5

and all static balancing programs

Distance
1. Open the "Enter rim data" menu on the main page
of the balancing software.
2. Select balancing program.
3. Position the vernier caliper on the rim and read off
the value at position "K" on the millimeter scale.

4. Enter the value for the rim distance that has been
read off in the unit "mm" by using the key <-> or <+>
for rim distance .

Rim diameter

The rim diameter can be determined (read off)
at the rim itself or measured with the measuring
compass.
1. Position the measuring compass as shown in the
figure.

2. Read off the rim diameter.
3. Enter the value for rim diameter that has been read off
by using the keys <-> or <+> for rim diameter
unit "inch".

For several rim types, the rim diameter must be
entered in "mm" (for conversion from inches to
millimeters and vice-versa see section "Rim data
menu").
