4.10 Connecting the compressed air

The compressed air connection is present only on
ROLL R8 P-LOCK.
1. Connect the ROLL R8 P-LOCK to the compressed
air supply.

With a bayonet connection, it is sufficient to move
the compressed air hose to the connection of the
filter unit and tighten the threaded clamp.

2. Set a pressure between 8 – 10 bar.
« First pull the pressure reducer (red knurled
screw) upwards. Then turn to set a press be-
tween 8 – 10 bar.
« Monitoring the pressure on the pressure gauge.

A quick-release coupling with 1/4 thread is supplied
with the vehicle to enable a compressed air
connection to be made even if no bayonet connector
is available.
3. Use a 14 mm wrench to remove the swivel
connection at the filter unit.

4. Pull out the swivel connection and attach the quick-
release connection. Then tighten with a 14 mm
wrench.

Place the original seal back in position.

Electrical connections

connections are not grounded or are not
correctly grounded or from incorrect supply
voltage!
Incorrect phase, neutral and ground
connections can cause electric shocks, heart
failure and fatalities!

Work on electrical systems or equipment
is only to be performed by qualified
electricians or trained personnel under the
guidance and supervision of an electrician.

Even minor work on the electrical system
must only be performed by appropriately
trained and qualified personnel.

Only connect ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) to
the power supply if the supply voltage
available corresponds to the rated voltage
specified on the rating plate

Check the grounding before connecting
the ROLL R8 (P-LOCK).
€
Use the type of power supply cable
specified for the country concerned.
€
Only connect to an appropriate approved
grounding outlet.
€
In the event of operating problems, switch
off immediately by way of the On/Off
switch, disconnect the power supply cable
and consult the "Faults" section of the
operating instructions.
