ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) must be connected to the voltage
supply - as specified in the European standard - via
an automatic circuit breaker with residual-current
device (RCD) having at least 3 mm contact distance.
The owner is responsible for providing the required
protective device for the power connection.

A 3-pole miniature circuit breaker, type *C (LS
switch or automatic circuit breaker) must be used
to protect the voltage supply. The use of single-line
miniature circuit breakers is not permitted!
!
The work conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.)
must agree with the values prescribed in the chapter
"Technical data".

Connect ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) to an outlet using a
detachable power supply cable and a standard plug.

Checking the direction of rotation

1. Check whether the ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) is properly
connected to the mains.
2. ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) is to be switched on at the on/
off switch.
3. To continue, confirm by pressing <OK> key.
4. Close the wheel-guard hood.

If the shaft does not rotate, press the <OK> key.

If the direction of rotation is incorrect
ROLL R8 (P-LOCK) the comes to an immediate halt
and the error message ERROR 3 is displayed.
5. Check the direction of rotation of the shaft.

The correct direction of rotation is indicated by a label
on the right side of the ROLL R8 (P-LOCK).

4.13 Calibrating the
ROLL R8 (P-LOCK)

Calibration must be performed after initial
commissioning.
1. Calibrate the flange.
2. Calibrate the electronic rim-distance gauge/sonar.
3. Calibrate the ROLL R8 (P-LOCK).
4. Perform reference measurement.
