Limiter..." opens (
fig. 20). It contains the
same controls for the parameters and the small
box "Bypass" to bypass the compressor. In addi-
tion, the signal level of the compressor input and
output is shown graphically depending on the
compressor adjustments. The effect of a change
of the parameters "Threshold", "Ratio" or "Soft /
Hard Knee" is immediately visible in this case.

6.4.5.8 Gain

The level of the output signal may be adapted
under "Level" by adjusting the gain in the range
-18 dB to +18 dB. A level reduction caused by
the compressor can also be balanced in this
way.
To change the gain, move the control with
the mouse or, with a control selected, on the key-
board with the arrow keys or the scrolling keys.
This is the same parameter as in the view
"Gains" (
chapter 6.4.3).

6.4.5.9 Level limitation (Limiter)

To change the limiter parameters under "Peak
Limiter", move the corresponding control with
the mouse or, with a control selected, on the key-
board with the arrow keys or the scrolling keys.
(Details about the function and the parameters of
the limiter
chapter 5.4.9)
To bypass the limiter or to reactivate it, click
the small box "Limiter bypass". With the tick
placed, the limiter is deactivated.
When clicking the button "View Peak Lim-
iter", the window "RMS Compressor & Peak Lim-
iter ..." opens (
fig. 20). It contains the same
controls for the parameters and the small box
"Bypass" to bypass the limiter. In addition, the
signal level of the limiter input and of the output
is graphically shown depending on the limiter
adjustments. The effect of a change of the
parameter "Threshold" is visible immediately.
Below the curve the corresponding peak voltage
[Vp] is shown in addition to the maximum level
[dBu] adjusted via "Threshold".

6.4.5.10 Phase reversal

A tick in the field "Phase 180°" shows the phase
reversal of the output signal (compare "Polarity"
chapter 5.4.10). To switch over, click the
field. This is the same parameter as in the view
"Gains" (
chapter 6.4.3.1).

6.4.6 Linking the channels

For the same adjustment of certain parameters
for several outputs or inputs it is possible to link
the inputs or outputs during the adjustment. The
parameters changed at one output are now iden-
tical for all outputs linked. Likewise, the adjust-
ments made during the linking of the inputs are
made at the selected input channels at the same
time. Only the parameters changed during link-
ing are adapted in each case. All individual
adjustments of the inputs or outputs are main-
tained.
