View Input channel "In D" with window "Noise Gate Configuration"

6.4.4.1 Gain

Under "Gain" the input amplification can be
adjusted. To change the amplification, move the
control with the mouse or, with a control
selected, on the keyboard with the arrow keys or
the scrolling keys. This is the same parameter as
in the view "Gains" (
chapter 6.4.3).

6.4.4.2 Muting

As an alternative to muting in the view "Gains"
(
chapter 6.4.3) the input can be muted in this
view as well.
For muting or for cancelling the muting click
the button "Mute". With the channel muted, the
button is red.

6.4.4.3 Signal delay

Under "Delay" the delay time for the input signal
can be adjusted. The unit (meter or milliseconds)
can be changed in the view "Delays" (
ter 6.4.2.1).
To change the delay value, click the arrows
under the input field: Make a coarse adjustment
with the arrows above "Adj", a fine adjustment
with the arrows above "Fine". Alternatively, the
value can also directly be entered into the field.
Then the number entered is rounded to the next
possible value. This is the same parameter as in
the view "Delays" (
chapter 6.4.2).

6.4.4.4 Sound control

Under "EQ" the 5 independent filters of the input
channel can be adjusted (
fig. 15).
1) Select the filter type via the upper
button (in this case "PEAK EQ")
[description of the filter types
chapter 5.3.6.2]
2) Adjust the level boosting or attenu-
ation with the sliding control.
3) Enter the filter frequency into the
field under the control.
4) Enter the filter quality factor (Q) or
the relative value for the bandwidth
(Bw) into the corresponding field or
adjust them by clicking the arrows
underneath the fields. A number
entered is rounded to the next pos-
„EQ"
sible value.
Note: The availability of a parameter depends on
the filter type selected.
5) By clicking the button "Byp", the individual fil-
ter can be deactivated. Then the button is
red. To reactivate the filter, click the button
again.
6) To deactivate all filters of this input, click the
button "EQ Byp". Then the button is red. To
reactivate the filters, click the button again.
7) To reset the amplification values of all filters
of this input, click the button "EQ Flat" and in
the dialog window "EQ Flat – Are you sure?"
which opens confirm or cancel the procedure.
Then all filters are deactivated and can be
reactivated by clicking the button "Byp".
Note: Alternatively, the level boosting/attenua-
tion and the filter frequency can also be adjusted
graphically (
chapter 6.4.4.5).
