Mounting

Never work on the device when live.
Device must be mounted outside hazardous areas.
The device must be switchable in an off state via a suitable disconnecting device
Attention
outside of the power supply.
Fits 19" racks or DIN rail enclosures.
The installation must be performed by a specialist in accordance with the requirements of
EN 60950.
Make sure that sufficient convection ventilation is present in the intended installation
position.
On horizontal mounting rail a vertical spacing of min. 10 cm has to be observed between
other modules, horizontal spacing is not neccesary. The mains feed line must have an
appropriate fixing or strainrelieve outside of the device. A fuse must be connected in
series with the device: a house installation fuse 16 A or a corresponding installation fuse
protection, or in application with UL approval. A UL listed fuse with 15 A current carrying
capacity. The supply-side installation and the connection to L, N and PE via screw
terminal blocks must be done in a way that ensures protection against electrical shock.

Connecting Cable

Plugable screw-terminal blocks: leads of cable have to be protected with end sleeve for
strands.
You can use sections of: 0.2 mm² to 4 mm² solid or 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² stranded.

Short Circuit and Overload Behaviour

The output of the device is electronically protected against overloads and short circuits.
Up to an output on IN x 1.25 the output voltage is kept constant at 24 V. At higher output
currents the device switches off for several milliseconds and then tries restart.
2.6

Maintenance

While used for its intended purpose under consideration of the operation manual no
permanent servicing is necessary.
2.7

Disposal

When the module is disposed off the relevant national regulations will have to be
observed. In order to facilitate the recycling of individual components, plastic parts are
provided with the identification mark of the plastic material used.
Enclosure material: Polyamide PA, unarmoured.
