Stryker IsoGel AIR™ Cleaning Instructions
Always follow hospital protocol for cleaning
mattresses.
WARNING
• To avoid the risk of equipment damage, do not immerse
support surface in cleaning or disinfectant solutions . Do
not allow liquid to pool on the support surface .
• Do not iron, dry-clean, or tumble dry the support surface
cover, as this will cause malfunction and damage to the
product .
• Do not stick needles in to a medical bed mattress through
the mattress cover . Holes will allow body fluids from en-
tering the inside (inner core) of the mattress and could
cause cross-contamination .
• To avoid the risk of shock, unplug unit prior to cleaning
or disinfecting .
• To avoid the risk of patient injury, covers (top and
bottom) should be inspected for tears, punctures,
excessive wear, and misaligned zippers each time the
covers are cleaned . If a support surface cover becomes
compromised, the support surface should be removed
from service immediately and replaced to prevent
cross-contamination .
Stryker support surfaces are designed for long-lasting
comfort and reliability . The life of the support surface can
be adversely affected by an increase in frequency of usage
which might include more frequent cleaning and disinfection .
1 .
Using a clean, soft, damp cloth, wipe down the entire
support surface with a mild soap and water solution to
remove foreign material .
