2.5.4 Discrete I/O (5I/8O) Interface

The internal solid state Discrete Input/Output options provide five inputs and eight outputs. 26 pins connect the
main board of the IND500x to the Discrete I/O option board. The Discrete I/O option is available in three
different versions with different active/passive combinations:
Active inputs and active outputs
Active inputs and passive outputs
Passive inputs and passive outputs

The installation of the I/O option board is the same for all versions and is shown in detail in the installation
instructions included with the option kit.
Prior to install the Discrete I/O interface to Slot 3 (1) on the main board bracket, ensure the two mobile studs (2
and 3) are positioned to "I/O", as shown in the figure below.

Insert the 26 pins into Slot 3 (identified in [Main PCB Page 9]) and then fix it onto the bracket with three
M3x8 screws.
