2.4.4 Main Board Wiring Connections

After the harsh enclosure is open, connections must be made to the terminal strips on the main board. Please
refer to [Main PCB Page 9] for connectivity of the main board. The main board is installed below a plastic
protective cover and an installation bracket. The plastic protective cover must be removed in order to install any
option board and be reinstalled before closing the enclosure. The installation bracket is used for installation of
option boards. Do not uninstall it unless maintenance work to the main board is required.
The following figure shows the main board inside a harsh enclosure with an analog load cell option board.

2.4.5 Power Connection

One APS768x power supply is required to operate the IND500x terminal. The APS768x power supply includes
a 5m (16 ft.) long integral cable that must be terminated at the IND500x terminal. This cable also includes the
required gland for the IND500x.
If the 5m (16 ft.) integral cable is not long enough for the application, it can be replaced with a longer cable.
This procedure is described in the APS768x power supply installation manual.
Before beginning to terminate the cable, install the gland on the end of the APS768x cable into the empty hole
identified in [Connections Page 12].
As the APS768x power supply is supplied with pre-assembled cables, the ATEX/IECEx cable gland mounted on
the blue 9-wire cable is intended for X1 entry hole which is covered with protective tape (as-delivered status),
or the X5 in Alternative use (see [Connections Page 12] ). Replace the protective tape and use the ATEX/
IECEx cable gland (or the ATEX/IECEx Dummy Stopper if for the cable entry the position X5 is used). The
tightening torque of the cable gland / Dummy Stopper locking on the housing is 2 Nm.
