An external grounding bolt (1) designed for equalpotential bonding is provided on the IND500x terminal.

2.7 PCB Switch Settings

Four switches (SW1 and SW2, identified in [Main PCB Page 9]) are located on the main PCB. Functions of
the switches are listed in the following table.

When both SW1-1 and SW1-2 are positioned to ON and power is applied to the terminal, a Master Reset
function will be initiated. This procedure will erase all programming in the terminal and return all settings back
to factory default values. Metrologically significant data (calibration) is not reset unless SW2-1 is also set to
ON during this process. This process is further described in the IND500x Technical Manual, Chapter 5,
Maintenance and Service.

2.8 PCB Jumper Position

2.8.1 Enable or Disable the Power On/Off Key

The Power On/Off key is disabled by default.

Open (default) Disables the Power On/Off key on the terminal keypad. Terminal will always power up

SW2-1 SW2-2 Function
OFF OFF For normal operation.
OFF OFF For normal operation and prohibits changes to metrologically
significant areas in the menu tree.
OFF OFF For firmware update. When the four switches are set this way, the
terminal is then ready for firmware update. Refer to the IND500x's
Service Manual for instructions on firmware update.
OFF For connection to the InSite

significant data, such are scale calibration, GEO code, etc., will
not be reset.

Enables the Power On/Off key on the terminal keypad. When Ex power supply is connected,
the Power On/Off key is pressed to start the terminal.
