2.5.8 I.S. Analog 4-20 mA Output
The optional intrinsically safe analog 4-20 mA communication board connects to Slot 3 or Slot 4 (refer to
[Main PCB Page 9] for location of these slots) on the IND500x mainboard. It provides an intrinsically safe
analog signal of 4-20 mA, proportional to the weight applied to the scale or to the rate of change of weight on
the scale. The maximum cable length for the Analog Output connection is 300 m / 980 ft. The cable used for
the analog output signal must be shielded.
The 4-20mA interface does not work with Profinet at the same time.
The 4-20mA interface can't operate with a second 4-20mA nor with an active digital output.

Prior to install the 4-20 mA interface to the main board, ensure that the mobile stud(s) is positioned to "4-20
mA". If the option board is to be installed to Slot 3 (1), position the mobile studs (2 and 3) to "4-20 mA"; if it
is to be installed to Slot 4 (5), position the mobile stud (4) to "4-20 mA".
