9. Make sure that—
All cross pins are correctly installed into the H -brackets and support tops.
The drop lock on the end of the cross pins has moved to the side to hold the
support tops and H-brackets in position.

Loosely install a minimum of four safety straps evenly spaced
and around both support tops.
NOTE:
We recommend that you use the four Allen® Safety Straps that were
included with the support top.

Make sure the support tops are in the correct position, and
then tighten the safety straps.

Make sure the superior support top is progressively
compressed against the patient and once again tighten the
safety straps.
–
Look at the display, and make
sure the tilt level indicator and
the brakes locked indicator are
green.
WARNING:
We recommend that a minimum of four caregivers are available to help flip
the patient. However, the number of caregivers will vary based on the
patient weight and should be determined by the facility staff for each flip
procedure. Otherwise, patient fall, injury, or equipment damage could
occur.
WARNING:
Observe lines closely during articulations. Always use good line
management techniques. Otherwise, patient fall, injury, or equipment
damage could occur.
WARNING:
Failure to observe the patient's head while the support top is being flipped
could cause patient fall or injury.

Make sure of these, and then follow facility protocols to
manually flip the support tops 180°:
There is a sufficient number of persons available for the patient to
be flipped.
