PROBLEM
Saw makes unsatisfactory
cuts.
Material kicked back from
blade.
Blade does not raise or bevel
freely.
Blade does not come up to
speed or reset trips too easily.
Machine vibrates excessively.

(Refer to "LOOSE PARTS" chapter ).
CAUTION
Repair, modification and inspection of HiKOKI Power
Tools must be carried out by a HiKOKI Authorized
Service Center.
In the operation and maintenance of power tools, the
safety regulations and standards prescribed in each
country must be observed.
GUARANTEE
We guarantee HiKOKI Power Tools in accordance with
statutory/country specific regulation. This guarantee does
not cover defects or damage due to misuse, abuse, or normal
wear and tear. In case of complaint, please send the Power
Tool, undismantled, with the GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE
found at the end of this Handling instruction, to a HiKOKI
Authorized Service Center.

PROBLEM CAUSE
◌ Dull blade.
◌ Blade mounted backwards.
◌ Gum or pitch on blade.
◌ Incorrect blade for work being done.
◌ Gum or pitch on blade causing erratic
feed.
◌ Riving knife not aligned correctly with
blade.
◌ Feeding stock without rip fence.
◌ Riving knife not in place.
◌ Dull blade.
◌ The operator letting go of material
before it is past saw blade.
◌ Mitre gauge lock knob is not tightened.
◌ Sawdust and dirt in elevation/beveling
mechanisms.
◌ Extension cord too light or too long.
◌ Low house voltage.
◌ The saw is not mounted securely to the
stand.
◌ Stand is on uneven floor.
◌ Workbench is moving.
◌ Damaged saw blade.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
◌ Replace with the specified blade.
◌ Turn the blade around.
◌ Remove the blade and clean with
turpentine and coarse steel wool.
◌ Change the blade.
◌ Clean table with turpentine and steel
wool.
◌ Align riving knife with blade.
◌ Install and use rip fence.
◌ Install and use riving knife (with guard).
◌ Replace with the specified blade.
◌ Push material all the way past saw
blade before releasing work.
◌ Tighten lock knob.
◌ Brush or blow out loose dust and dirt.
◌ Replace with adequate size cord.
◌ Contact your electric company.
◌ Tighten all mounting hardware.
◌ Reposition on flat, level surface.
◌ Securely the workbench to floor.
◌ Replace blade.
