Zone controllers and SMCs are referred to below as controllers.
After successful installation of the individual modules, e.g.
electronic modules, room terminals, call units, the wiring and
power supply must be checked.
For this, suitable tools must be used!
(see e.g. also: Command "Analyse ZBUS")
Further information see documentation (Part No. 89440C7)
So that the zone controller / SMC can administer the adresses of
the individual SBUS devices, they must be stored in a
database.
All active components, such as electronic modules, room
terminals etc., must have their own unique address, so
that they function correctly on the corridor data bus.
If further components are added, the addressing must be
repeated. As a result of the subsequent configuration, an
active component "retains" this address until it is
"re-initialised". This step must be carried out separately on
each zone controller / SMC.
Bed modules, call modules and all other components that are
installed on a bed data bus of active components must be
assigned an address.
This step must be repeated when further components are
installed.
Further information see documentation (Part No. 89440C7)
Display modules of the corridor data bus (ZBUS) must be
assigned to the rooms (positioning). These modules have no
function if not positioned.
For the subsequent setting up of the system via a server (PC),
the active components of the corridor data bus must
be transferred into an "organised sequence". This is because
the address allocation on the corridor data bus occurs
randomly (i.e. not in a specified sequence).
Further information see documentation (Part No. 89440C7)
For the subsequent setting up of the system via a server (PC),
the active components of the bed data bus (as well as the
passive beds on a room terminal or electronic module with
LED technology) must be transferred into an
"organised sequence". This is because the address allocation
on the bed data bus occurs randomly
(i.e. not in a specified sequence).
Further information see documentation (Part No. 89440C7)
After all the zone controllers as well as active components of
the corridor and bed data busses have been correctly
addressed and positioned, the configuration can take place
on the server (PC). If additional components are added to the
system, the appropriate steps listed here must be repeated.
For more information, see the documentation (Part No. 89465A1).
Commissioning
After completion of the commissioning, a complete function test of the system must be performed
again upon every change to the devices or the customer data programming!

Start
The components of the zone busses must be
addressed uniquely. The zone controllers / SMC are
fitted with address switches for this. Further modules
such as AII etc. can only be addressed from the
Step 1:
master zone controller (Address 01)! -> Are all
components present?
Command:
From V05.00R000 onwards, only address switch

settings 0 to 50 can be used for positioning on the
SBUS, i.e. GZs / SMCs must be set to 0 from SBUS
address 50 upwards.
