Removing / replacing Field Bus Cards

Remove / replace the Field Bus Cards as follows:
1. Disconnect the SMC from the power supply and remove the connection terminals
2. Remove the cover of the corresponding FBC using the removal hook (Fig. 19).
3. Use the removal hook to pull the FBC out of the insertion rail (Fig. 19).
4. If replacing the card, insert the new Field Bus Card (Fig. 20)
5. Insert the cover (Fig. 21)
6. For installation of the connection terminals, see section 4.3 and 4.4
Always insert the covers for installation slots 1 and 2 with the correct orientations as shown in Fig. 20
to ensure that the devices operate correctly.

Replacing an SMC in a wall housing

Should it become necessary to replace the SMC, the screws can be removed as shown in Fig. 23 and the
SMC can be removed in a downward direction. It is not necessary to disassemble the wall housing.
