/ Rotary switch for addressing

The IP addresses and the operating mode of the SMC are configured with the rotary switch. The addresses
must be configured according to the set-up of the bus system and use of the SMC.

The operating mode and options for set-up of the bus system are identical to those of the zone
controller (Part No. 72660x). For more information, see documentation (Part No. 89440C6).
The 4th segment of the IP address is configured by turning the rotary switch. The other segments are
configured via the terminal program >TeraTerm<.
Address structure: 10.01.10.01
The 4th segment of the IP address (here 01) is configured with the rotary switch. Permissible values  0 ... 99
Configuration of the ones place:
10.01.10.01
 Permissible value range 0 ... 9
Configuration of the tens place:
10.01.10.01
 Permissible value range 0 ... 9

• Configuration of the values A ... F and assignment of doubled IP addresses are not permitted!
• For more information about addressing see documentation (Part No. 89440C7).
• A disallowed setting of the rotary switch is signalled by the flashing frequency >Fatal Error< of the
service LED (see section 2.3).
