3.1

Installation instructions

Central control devices, energy supply devices and other parts without operating or signalling functions may
only be installed in dry rooms (max. humidity 75% at max. 40 °C), however not in patient rooms.
The devices must be easily accessible at all times (inspection access with width of at least 60 cm) and the
heat dissipation may not be obstructed. For installation in a cabinet or the like, it is also necessary to
dissipate the heat through forced ventilation.
• The devices are not suitable for installation in locations at risk to explosion.
• The devices may only be installed in dry, clean and adequately lit areas with restricted access.
• The ambient conditions must correspond to class 3k5 in accordance with DIN EN 60721-3-3.
• For wall installation, observe the levelness tolerances acc. to DIN 18202 for finished walls and the
undersides of ceilings, e.g. plastered walls, wall panelling and hanging ceilings.
• The devices must be mounted to a level mounting surface using suitable mounting material (screws +
anchors) and without creating any mechanical tension. Only operate the device after it has been properly
mounted to a wall, on a mounting surface or in a cabinet with a sufficient load-bearing capacity.
• Avoid strong electrical / electromagnetic and mechanical interference. This especially applies to the
installation of devices and installation cables in the direct vicinity of fluorescent lamps or energy cables
and to mounting on vibrating, unstable surfaces such as thin partition walls.
Danger – Electric shock!
Assembly and installation work may only be performed while the devices are de-energised
(without power).
During drilling work, take care of energised cables running through the wall!
Personal injuries
During installation work, the affected rooms may only be entered by installation company
personnel.

characteristics of the panel operating system software specific to the Federal Republic of
Germany.
