Installation of an SMC (Part No. 72700A1 / B1)

4.2.1 Connecting the power supply

The power supply to the Ward Management Controller is realised according to either building-specific or
standards-based requirements:
1. Local
2. From the station
3. Redundant (local and station)
4. Via the mains adapter
1. Local
The power is supplied exclusively locally via the connection terminal of the SMC.

• In accordance with the applicable standards and regulations, the power supply may only be
connected by a qualified electrician in accordance with the >Installation Instructions<.
• The jumper PL3 must be inserted for >Local power supply<. For more information, see
section 2.4.
2. From the station
The power is supplied via the mains adapter / UPS to the station via the connection terminals of the Field
Bus Card 99plus.

• The jumper PL3 must be inserted for >Local power supply<. For more information, see section
2.4
• The power supply to the station must lie within the technical specifications and may only be
used for this SMC. No connection to another SMC is permitted.
