Installation of an SMC (Part No. 72700A1 / B1)
4.2.1 Connecting the power supply
The power supply to the Ward Management Controller is realised according to either building-specific or
standards-based requirements:

Redundant (local and station)

Via the mains adapter

The power is supplied exclusively locally via the connection terminal of the SMC.

In accordance with the applicable standards and regulations, the power supply may only be
connected by a qualified electrician in accordance with the >Installation Instructions<.

The jumper PL3 must be inserted for >Local power supply<. For more information, see
section 2.4.
2. From the station
The power is supplied via the mains adapter / UPS to the station via the connection terminals of the Field
Bus Card 99plus.
