Ward Management Controller Clino System 99plus (SMC99plus)
5.3
Checking the corridor databus
The corridor databus must be checked while all mains adapters are in the de-energised state. This requires
connecting the first and last device of the ZBUS in each case to the corresponding terminals. The test is
typically performed on the SMC and bus end.
The resistance must be measured at 70 ... 80 Ohm.
For more information about the bus end and bus termination, see the documentation
(Part No. 89462F8) and section 4.3.

Checking the function
After a successful corridor databus inspection, the functional test must be performed. To do this, first connect
the corridor databus and bed databus devices to the terminals located at strategic points such as the start,
middle and end of the bus. Put the mains adapters into operation and test the power supply again. For the
function test, the presence button 1 (AW1) of the first and last devices as well as the call button of the middle
device must be pressed.
The audio call signal must be audible in the first and last room and gives information about the functionality
of the bus and the wiring.
Active devices, such as display or RFID modules of the ZBUS, are not suitable for this function
check because no integration into the system has taken place yet.

Commissioning
The commissioning of the system devices takes place via the service PC and the terminal program
"TeraTerm". When the SMC is integrated into already existing systems, the configuration can take place via
the Busmaster (ZC / SMC), depending on the design of the bus system. Pay attention here to the correct
addressing of the controllers to be configured (see section 2.3).
The following commands have been adapted in "TeraTerm" for commissioning of the SMC and differ from
those of the zone controller:
Installation of the SMC bootloader:
>btlgz< >btlsmc<
Reset SMC to factory defaults
>setfactory gz< setfactory smc
Cold start of the SMC
>coldstart gz< >coldstart smc<
Reset of the SMC
>reset gz< >reset smc<
No function of the command for configuration of the inputs / outputs.
