Braking with the coasting brake
Procedure
• Take your foot off the accelerator pedal (87).
The truck decelerates.
WARNING!
Accident risk
Applying the parking brake while travelling will cause the truck to brake to a halt at
maximum force. This may cause the load to slide off the forks. The parking brake will
hold the truck with maximum load on inclines with clean surfaces of up to 15%.

Procedure
• Apply the parking brake button (109).
The truck is now secure.

You cannot travel against the parking brake; the parking brake indicator (96) will be
displayed.
The parking brake applies approx. 5 seconds (adjustable) after the truck has come to
rest.
When you stop on the ramp the truck is held electrically until the parking brake
applies.
When you set off, before the parking brake is released, a torque builds up on the drive
motor to prevent the truck from rolling back.
