Description of the model
Damper plate
The upper end of the shock absorber of an axle right and left is screwed to the damper plate at the front or at the rear.
The shock absorbers are thus somehow interconnected via the damper plate.
Differential
Differential gear. Equalizes the different revolution speeds, e.g. between the wheel on the inside of a bend and the outside of a bend.
Fuel tank
The fuel tank with snap closing contains 580 ccm and is equipped with an integrated fuel filter. The tank is connected with the carburettor by means of
two hoses at the fittings in the cover via a manual pump. A further hose is used for fuel-tank venting.
Inclination
Inclination of the wheels as viewed from the front:
Main nozzle needle Regulates the fuel supply to the carburettor in middle to full load range
Oil pressure shock absorbers
The shock absorber consists of a coil spring with a piston in an oil-filled cylinder running up and down at the center. The coil spring is supported by a
spring seat at the end of the piston rod and, depending on the design, a ring bolt or a spring pretensioner on the outer side of the cylinder. The spring
pretension can be adjusted infinitely at the ring bolt or can be adjusted stepwise via spring pretensioners of different sizes. The spring absorbs the
travel of the axle halves when traveling in uneven terrain. The bounding and rebounding is dampened by the piston moving through the oil. By select-
ing different dampening oils the dampening properties can be varied. The shock absorber is mounted between the damper plate at the top and the
lower transverse link. The compression distance is limited via a plastic sleeve.
Depending on the model, the spring pretension can be adjusted infinitely at ring bolts or can be adjusted stepwise via spring pretensioners of different
sizes.
Operating Sequence of the control:
Driver
Transmitter
RC model
"Radio controlled", to be more precise: "Remote Controlled" Model
Receiver
Receives and "translates" the control signals of the remote control transmitter (direction and intensity) for the servo and the
cruise control. The transmitter crystal which is tuned to the receiver crystal ensures the perfect communication between transmitter and receiver.
Transmitter and receiver crystals are thus tuned to one another, so that signals of parallel transmitters cannot disturb this receiver (this model).
Resonance exhaust silencer
The resonance exhaust silencer serves, on the one side, to absorb sounds, on the other side, to display the optimal output of the engine.
Roll center
The roll center ist he theoretical point, over which the axle of a vehicle tilts in a curve. The imagined connection of the roll centers of the front and rear
axles is called roll axle and is ideally located vertically underneath the center of gravity. When the roll center is low, the leverage effect of the center of
gravity is high, the vehicle tends to bend and dislocate in corners around the roll axle. A high roll center decreases the lateral inclination.
Servo lever (servo arm)
Lever, disk or cross with 4 control levers which transmit the rotational movement of the servo motor
via steering levers.
Servo
Servo motor whose shaft turns in a limited angle in both directions and carries out mechanically a control function via a lever.
Slide carburettor
Turning the throttle valve regulates the air supply to the engine; at the same time, the tapered needle of a needle valve
(idle nozzle needle) moves, and the amount of fuel that flows through the carburettor changes.
