Maintenance / Disposal
Air filter
The air filter prevents dirt from penetrating into the engine via the intake air. Foreign bodies which penetrate via the
intake air between cylinder lining and piston can cause the piston to get stuck or piston seizure, which would then damage the engine and cause con-
sequential damage in the drive section.
-
Clean the air filter with paraffin or low viscosity machine oil (air filter oil, accessories).
If you want to clean the air filter with a detergent and water, then rinse it thoroughly afterwards.
Soap residues could get into the engine and damage the lubricating film.
Oil the air filter afterwards with air filter oil.
-
Never drive without air filter!
-
Fasten the air filter with a thin cable binder.

Changing Tyres

-
Protect the tyres against jumping off the rims or against slipping by gluing them on the rims. Let the super glue run in the gap between wheels and
rims.
In order not to have to change the rims if you need to change the wheels, wrap the outer side of the rims with fabric insulating tape before gluing
the wheels.
The bald tyres can be removed from the rims with the insulating tape.
-
Effect two to three small holes in each rim bed to allow air to escape and to maintain the damping effect of the tyres.

Driving in Unfavourable Weather or Environmental Conditions

The RC unit components are not waterproof!
Pack the servos in a plastic foil in order to protect the parts against water spray, wet grass and moisture (fog,
light rain) as well as dust and other impurities.
Close the receiver box carefully, do not simply click the lid into place, but push the latch forward to lock it into
place.

Disposal

Disposal of old electric and electronic devices
In the interest of our environment and to recycle the used materials as completely as possible, consumers are asked to take used and
defect devices to the public collection points for electronic scrap.
The sign of the crossed out trashcan with wheels means that this product must be returned to a collection point for electronic waste for
recycling.
Disposal of spent batteries/accumulators
Users are obligated by law (Battery Ordinance) to return spent batteries and accumulators.
Disposal of spent batteries in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries and accumulators containing hazardous substances are marked by a crossed out trashcan icon. This icon means that these
product may not be disposed of in the household waste. Below the icon, you will find the hazardous substance contained in the product:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can return spent batteries and accumulators to the collection points of your waste disposal company or to shops selling batteries.
You thus comply with your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of our environment.
