► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Detach the grass catcher box,
► Unscrew the slotted nut (1).
► Pull out the discharge chute (2).
6.2 Fitting and Removing the
Grass Box
6.2.1 Attaching the grass catcher box
NOTICE
The blades cannot engage without the grass
catcher box. The engine cuts out automatically.
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Empty the grass catcher box,
► Fit the grass catcher box (1) onto both snap-in
hooks (2) at the rear panel of the ride-on
mower.
► Press and hold the lever (3).

6 Assembling the ride-on mower
► Fold the grass catcher box (1) completely up
toward the ride-on mower.
► Release the lever (3).
The grass catcher box snaps into place.
6.2.2 Detaching the grass catcher box
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Empty the grass catcher box,
► Press and hold the lever (1).
The grass catcher box is now unlocked.
► Detach the grass catcher box (2).
6.3 Filling with engine oil
The engine oil lubricates and cools the engine.
The engine oil specification and capacity can be
found in the User Manual for the engine.
NOTICE
■ The machine does not contain any engine oil
on delivery. Starting the engine with no or too
little engine oil may damage the ride-on
mower.
► Always check the engine oil level before
starting and add oil if necessary.
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Allow the ride-on mower to cool down.
► Open the storage compartment,
► Add the engine oil as described in the User
Manual for the engine.
► Close the storage compartment,
