Maintenance

Protective equipment:
Through careful maintenance and inspection, faults are found and corrected at an early
stage. This helps maintain the value of the station, prevent failures and improve the
reliability of the station.
Maintenance includes the following periodic work:
Inspection
n
Inspection consists of a daily inspection of the station and the elimination of possible
causes of wear.
Recalibration
n
Recalibration involves the regular monitoring and adjustment of the parameters of the
station according to operator specifications.
Repair
n
Repair involves the repair and replacement of damaged components to prevent
personal injury or damage to the station.
The station must be maintained by service personnel at least once a year, depending on
wear and according to the maintenance schedule.
The service life of the station depends both on the service life of the components used
and on the maintenance work being carried out properly.
The operator is obliged to provide a maintenance log and keep it at the station.
All service work and all faults and damage found must be recorded in the
maintenance log.
Special tools
The following special tools are required to perform certain maintenance and servicing
work on the station.

Pressure measuring device for the servicing and maintenance of Honeywell BA backflow
preventers.

Suitable hoist
Lifting gear such as hoist belts, elevating platforms etc. suitable for performing the task
