• If the flame outlets in the burner components are
blocked, unburnt gas can collect in the bottom box
and deflagrate.
Always keep all flame outlets free of dirt and the like.
• When switching on a burner, make sure that the
ignition plug is working correctly, a clear blue flame
is produced and gas and flame paths are not
blocked in any way.
• If the flame of a switched-on burner accidentally
goes out, turn its control knob to the off position and
wait at least one minute before switching it on again.
This allows any gas that may have escaped to evap-
orate sufficiently so that it does not pose a danger
when reignited.
• When using gas-fired appliances for a longer period
of time, a lack of oxygen may occur. Accordingly,
ensure a sufficient supply of fresh air, e.g. by open-
ing a window or increasing the forced ventilation if
necessary.
• If you do not use the hob for a longer period of time,
interrupt the gas supply after switching it off.
