6.2 Problems, possible causes and solutions
The following table may help you to solve a problem
on your own before contacting customer service
or specialist personnel:
Problem
The burner does not
ignite.

Possible solution
Check the gas supply.
If necessary, open the gas tap com-
pletely and make sure that the gas
hose is not kinked or the gas supply
is blocked otherwise.
Make sure that the gas opening of the
burner is not blocked. If necessary,
clean it as described in the corre-
sponding section.
Make sure that all burner components
are correctly assembled and posi-
tioned (see "Properties and configura-
tion of the appliance").
If in doubt, remove and reposition
them.
Make sure that the hob is properly
connected to an intact power supply
and that the fuse/circuit breaker has
not tripped.
Check if there is a power outage in
your home or neighbourhood.
Check the ignition plug for soiling.
If necessary, clean it as described in
the relevant section.
Check the ignition plug for blockages
(e.g. due to incorrect assembly of the
burner components) and remove them
if necessary .
