• To avoid the risk of ignition due to overflowing or
splashing fat, heat fat / oil as slowly as possible.
Do not fill deep-frying containers more than one
third full with oil, do not move them if possible and
never leave them unattended. Heat food in fat as dry
as possible and not in a frozen state to avoid over-
flowing due to bubbling.
• In case of fire, cut off the gas and electricity supply
and carefully smother the flames with a lid, fire blan-
ket or similar. Never extinguish burning oil or grease
with water. After extinguishing, have the appliance
checked by a suitably qualified professional.
• Do not heat sealed containers or tins on the hob.
These can explode due to the overpressure created
during heating.
• Do not use aluminium products on the hob to avoid
hazards due to insufficient heat resistance and
build-up of heat or gas, e.g. under aluminium foil.
• Do not place any objects on the hob that are not
fireproof, such as plastic utensils, and do not cover it
with textiles, for example, for protection.
These may catch fire, melt, become deformed or
damaged when the hob is switched on or in opera-
tion.
Also keep appliances and their cables at a safe dis-
tance from the hob.
