2. How the Appliance Works
2.1 Functional principle of the gas hob
Note: For the detailed operating procedure, follow the
instructions in the corresponding chapter.
By operating the rotary knobs, gas is supplied from the
supply line to the burners and ignited automatically
by an electrically generated spark.
The flames produced are distributed in a circle by the
burner crown and burner cap and emitted evenly.
The cookware placed on the pot support above is thus
heated immediately and directly, with the heat develop-
ment being greatest at the outer tips of the flames.
Care must be taken to ensure that these do not pass
over the bottom of the cookware.
The heat supply or flame intensity is regulated stepless-
ly and therefore very precisely via the control knob.
The reaction times when changing the flame size are
very short due to the direct firing.
After a burner has been switched off, it no longer emits
heat, so that subsequent burning of the food is not to be
expected. However, it should be noted that the appli-
ance can still be very hot after operation.
